Lion & Lion Language Institute
The lion, king of beasts, towers over others to show its majesty and excellence over the others. The statement “A Lion Among Men” was derived from the majesty of the lion and it means that an individual excels above all others. When we established our institution, we named it Lion and Lion in our hopes that like the king of beasts our institution and the students will rise above all others.

Lin Qing Jiang, the former Minister of Education, firmly believed that an engaging and lively class environment greatly contributes to a student’s ability to learn English. This belief of Mr. Lin that puts emphasis on the importance of an interactive and humanistic approach to learning is also shared by us at Lion and Lion, and is the primary outlook in teaching adopted by our institution.
As early as 2007, Lion & Lion has already been spearheading advancements in delivering quality education to its students. Lion & Lion has been one of the pioneers in incorporating teaching techniques used in American schools to greatly enhance our student’s English ability. In our desire to provide more students with the chance to experience our program, we have developed a deep partnership with Bai Yun Elementary School. For over 11 years, we have worked diligently with Bai Yun Elementary School to not only deliver high quality education, but also help instill good morals into today’s youth. Our assistance has significantly contributed to an increase in Bai Yun Elementary School’s new student registration, and also helped it overcome the challenges it faced. This has helped develop Bai Yun Elementary School into one of the most successful bilingual schools in New Taipei City at the time of our cooperation.
The various recognition and accolades that we and our students have garnered over the years stand as a testament to our ability in delivering quality English education. Students who enrolled in our program have consistently performed well in the International Cambridge English exams, and various international competitions. Notably, one of our students, Chen Yu Xun was able to take 1st place in the English speech contest held during the 2014 Shanghai Children’s Book Fair.
In 2018, Lion & Lion departed from the walls of Bai Yun Elementary School to establish its own office. The new facilities located on Fu Shan Street enabled Lion & Lion to step up its game to the “next level”. The establishment of Lion & Lion’s own office allowed us to be able to rebuild and improve our curricular design, develop our teaching staff, improve our resource sharing capabilities, and expand the language education to other areas, thus benefiting many more children and schools locally.
What We Do for Innovation?
We believe that in this rapidly changing world learning never ends. We work hard to offer the best material with successful techniques. We work on:
- Private tutoring classes
- Using interactive online material
- Customized grammar material
- Spanish classes
Lion & Lion was also one of the first pioneers in opening and developing a secondary foreign language program (Spanish) designed for primary school students. From there, Lion & Lion was able to extend the number of programs it offers to include: Children’s American Language Program, High School English Development Program, and many others. Eventually, Lion & Lion was also able to set up an International English Testing Service and a Study Tour Service Network that assist students who plan to study abroad.
Advancements in technology has made it easier for people to communicate and connect with the rest of the world. However, language will still play an important role in bridging the gap between people from different backgrounds and walks of life. Lion and Lion recognizes that learning the English language and understanding the Western culture is very important. With most major breakthroughs in various fields of study originating in the West, understanding the English language and the Western culture is becoming increasingly important in keeping up with latest advancements and staying relevant in this very competitive world. Recently, the increasing number of people that speak Spanish has elevated it into becoming one of the most used language in the world. Recognizing this, Lion and Lion has started offering Spanish classes to accommodate the growing demand in learning Spanish.
We believe that working hand in hand with the children and nourish them with love and care is the best way to learn English. Regardless of their levels, it will give them equal opportunity to succeed in their education, career, and eventually in life. This is the method that we chose to return the trust of those who believed in us.
